American Romanticism Do you have a super hero? In romanticism there are heros in every story. That saves them and rescue them from danger. This happen in the three stories that i’m going to share with you today. They are The Last Of The Mohicans, Old Ironsides, and Dr. Heidegger’s Experiment. The Last Of The Mohicans the hero in this story is Nathaniel or Hawkeye . In this story Hawkeye is helping other people that are getting attack from the hurons. One day him and his other two Mohican friends. They were hunting and Nathaniel â€Å"killed the deer and they blessed the deer for providing food for them†. This shows romanticism about the love of nature. How they are one with nature. They went to the fort were the militia was at and warn them that there homes are getting invaded by the hurons. The british commander told the militia that they can leave if their homes was being attack. So the Colonel Munro at Fort William Henry had no idea that they could leave if their homes was being invaded. Hawkeye told him that their homes was getting burnt down and indians was attacking them. Munro told Hawkeye that the militia could not leave because you don’t have proof, and they try to leave they will die. Hawkeye helped the militia to escape to get to their homes. That is called Belief in Democracy. The reason is because Hawkeye is helping them get to their homes and Munro told them not to. Now this is a story about Dr Heidegger’s Experiment.
